Completion of Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce Catalyst Center
On Thursday, August 21st, the Catalyst Center at the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce made its official debut to a crowd of over 200. The week before the grand opening, our GreenBy3 team was busy refining all the individual elements into the cohesive final design. The purpose of the Catalyst Center – to create a unique, inspiring space that caters to the needs of entrepreneurs and the goals of the Chamber of Commerce – was the guiding vision for the design and execution of the project, and our team has stuck closely to that from start to finish. The results are a space that our clients love, that their clients love, and of which we are proud.
Sustainability is one of the guiding principles in GreenBy3’s business model and it is something we bring to all of our client projects, often in the form of custom furniture and accent pieces made from lovingly reclaimed materials. For the Catalyst Center, our team built a 12’x4′ table out of maple flooring that we reclaimed from the Cigar Factory; we also built a coffee bar, cloud ceiling and skinned two walls with pine beadboard that we reclaimed from a house in upstate South Carolina. Many of the other materials used in the space were also reclaimed from elsewhere. These one-of-a-kind pieces that are designed and built in our shop have helped define GreenBy3’s image as a unique and creative project management company.
