PeopleMatter

Client: PeopleMatter Location: Charleston, S.C.

Scope: 15,000 square feet • Historic shell renovation and new construction Description: GreenBy3 is coordinating the renovation and up-fit of a building which is approximately 100 years old, on King Street, in historic Charleston. The four-story building will become the new company headquarters and is the ultimate ReThink->ReClaim->ReVive project. A brownfield development, this building was nominated for two historic preservation awards.

Unique features: Rooftop patio meeting space, exposed original brick, generator backup for entire building, an open floor plan for creativity and collaboration, balconies, data center, “Phone Booths,” bamboo flooring, solar tubes for natural light, glass walls, energy efficient lighting and idea walls. All office furniture was carefully selected based on PeopleMatter’s culture and style, as well as each team’s function and interaction.

Client feedback: “When you’re growing a high-paced, high-energy software company, the last thing you want to do is manage the day-to-day operations of a construction project. GreenBy3 does that for us and we’re called in when needed. It’s tremendously valuable knowing someone is our voice on the project. We place an extremely high value on the service GreenBy3 provides. The value is 10 times whatever we’re spending with them.” — Nate DaPore, president and CEO, PeopleMatter
